How to apply to helpBecome a Volunteer

we need your help to make our vision of litter and pollution free Scottish coastline a reality. You can get involved as much as you like and support us in a variety of ways depending on what appeals to you.

On the beach

We all have a part to play in turning the tide on litter. Join an event or organise your own and be part of the most influential fight against marine litter in the UK!

You can get involved in beach cleans in a variety of ways  -  joining a Marine Conservation Society beach clean through the Beachwatch scheme is a great way of doing this, as everything collected is documented and becomes part of the evidence base.

There are lots of other organised beach cleans too. If you clean up a SCRAPbook beach we want to hear from you!

On the sea

If you have a kayak, a RIB or a boat and would like to help this project then it would be very helpful if you could access harder to reach beaches and parts of the coastline to carry out beach cleans.

Please contact us to register your interest and find out more.

In the air

This project would not be possible without the support of an experienced fleet of volunteer pilots who are identifying and recording litter and pollution on the Scottish coastline.

If you are a pilot interested in volunteering on this project please contact us to register your interest and find out more.

By volunteering for SCRAPbook you will become a Sea Champion. Sea Champions is the Marine Conservation Society volunteer programme which provides opportunities for everyone to get involved in helping to secure the future for our seas.
